buying-shoes analogy

I was daydreaming on the train just now and out of the blue, thought of Jaslin's love for shoes, high heels in particular. She once mentioned somewhere on her blog about not going out without wearing a perfect pair of shoes.

Indeed, be it for comfort or style, your footwear can really make or break your day. Prior to choosing a perfect shoes for the day, one has to go through a tedious and sometimes disappointing process of searching for the one pair of shoes that suits your needs.

It seemed to me that decision-making in life can be so similar to searching and buying a pair of perfect shoes. On a shopping trip, you may find shoes that are so pretty and suitable but once you tried it on, it might cause you some discomfort. So the question is, 'to buy or not to buy?' Would you buy a pair of shoes that looks perfect but kills or would you choose one that is less pretty, but gives you the comfort you need?

If you're unsure and asks for a second opinion, what you define as a perfect pair of shoes might not be how others perceive. So it all boils down to what preceeds what, in your opinion. Nobody can help you because you will be the one wearing the shoes you bought.

It's too random for a daydream, isn't it?
